Prof Dr Abd Rashid Abd Aziz served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) in UTP from 2009 until 2016. He has headed the Centre for Automotive Research and Electric Mobility since 2002. He has been involved in many government and industry-funded projects. His research interests are in internal combustion engines, alternative fuels and novel energy generations. He has published numerous technical articles in journals and has regularly presented his work in international conferences. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers United Kingdom.
